CNN publicly refused to attend the annual White House Christmas party this Tuesday. When President Trump learned about the news, his reaction was incredible.
Every year, the White House throws a Christmas celebration where the reporters put aside their political differences and celebrate together the holiday with members of the administration.
This year, CNN declined the invitation to attend the White House Christmas party scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m.
“CNN will not be attending this year’s White House Christmas party,” said a spokesperson for the network Tuesday. “In light of the President’s continued attacks on freedom of the press and CNN, we do not feel it is appropriate to celebrate with him as his invited guests. We will send a White House reporting team to the event and report on it if news warrants.”
Since Donald Trump started his campaign for president, CNN has been his favorite network to attack. He frequently criticized them for spreading “fake news.”
It seems that CNN opted not to come to the party after President Trump’s Saturday tweet aimed at them, “@FoxNews is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!” stated the president.

On Monday he issued another attack, tweeting, “We should have a contest as to which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me). They are all bad. Winner to receive the FAKE NEWS TROPHY!”
President Trump wasn’t even close to being upset that CNN will not be attending, he even issued a statement saying their decline was “great” and that returning the favor by “boycott[ing] Fake News CNN,” is the right thing to do.
“Great, and we should boycott Fake News CNN,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Dealing with them is a total waste of time!” Trump added.

The mainstream media has been incredibly biased in reporting the new, during President Obama tenure, it seemed like he could do no wrong, despite the fact that was struggling to accomplish anything.
And on Nov. 2016, we witness the opposite. When Trump became president, the media started reporting only negative news about the new Commander-in-Chief.
That being the case, it’s no wonder President Trump has an unfriendly relationship with the media, CNN in particular. It’s no wonder he tweets several times a day in order to keep the public informed about the ongoing changes in his administration.
